Tweetsgiving and Gratichats!

I'm just sitting down after a wonderful get together I had this evening celebrating our connection to other countries around the globe- after all Tweetsgiving and Epic Thanks is global in its nature.. My friends brought dishes or beverages from other parts of the world and created a little hand-written note as to why that country has captured their heart.  We hung each note on a garland- which will now serve as my Christmas decor for the year. Here's a picture of the masterpiece!

It was great to hear about some of the stories of why people chose the countries they did. We had Mexico, Egypt, Italy, Kenya, Ethiopia, New Zealand, Australia, Bosnia, Canada, Lebanon, Thailand and the good ol' USA represented tonight. It was really great.  And the food was awesome! The wine was too, of course.

Tomorrow night, a couple of hours after I arrive in Connecticut, I'll have the opportunity to talk with some changemakers I've come to know (get ready for the hyperlinks party!).  Ian Elliott- a cause marketing mastermind with SEW Creative, Ian Scott Haisley- the guy responsible for teaching me about twitter (and the online marketing guru for Opportunity International), Keith Kall- Executive Director of Corporate Development for World Vision and Lee Fox- founder of KooDooz.  Be sure to tune in to the #EpicThanks chat at around 10PM EST. I'll be tweeting from @Gratichat!
