A New Song

Hey, so I picked up guitar. And I wrote a song...and I think the lyrics are kinda cool.

He wipes the sweat away
As he presses on in pace
His heart is beating hard
And he smiles at the neighbors
The run is smooth and calm
He feels confident
And he knows he's stronger

So he keeps running for his solace
Pushing harder up the hills
Seems all his life he's been a runner...yeah.

He looks into her eyes
As she wipes the tears away
Another broken heart
Because he is afraid
As he watches her depart
He hangs his head in shame
His heart feels colder...colder

So he keeps running from his solace
Pushing harder against his chances
Seems all his life he's been a runner...yeah

He can climb a mountain in the snow
Lead a hundred men through a land unknown
But he can't take a stand
And guide a girl in love
He can build a house in raging heat
Even cross the nation on his feet
But he's not strong enough to build his dream

He wipes the sweat away
As he walks into his home
Grabs a water glass
And stares at the phone
He knows that he should call
They haven't talked in a while
But he keeps on running.

Yes he keeps running from his solace
Pushing harder against his chances
Seems all his life he's been a runner
Yes, all his life he's been a runner
Seems like he'll always be a runner...

I was a little skeptical at first, but i gave it a chance. I can't speak for the actual music since i can't hear it, but the lyrics are great. Nice song, kid.

I like it... good lyrics and metaphor... I'd love to actually hear it... and it makes a lot of sense given what you told me about where things are with you... God bless ~ tom
